Can a fresh water, spring-fed pond be man drained, scrubbed & ridded of most dangerous wildlife- permenantly?

How would you stop the spring so you could drain the pond? Can a fresh water, spring-fed pond be man drained, scrubbed %26amp; ridded of most dangerous wildlife- permenantly?
If it is a natural pond, you can drain it with difficulty and pump the springwater down-hill. A reservoir should have been constructed to allow draining a lot more easily. You would still have to convey the springwater thru a pipe. Scrubbing is impossible, unless you plan to dig down to bedrock. That still wouldn't ';scrub'; the sides. While you might get rid of what you consider ';dangerous wildlife';, the change would be only temporary, unless you filled in the pond completely. It's easier to learn to live with the wildlife, which is probably less dangerous than you think. Can a fresh water, spring-fed pond be man drained, scrubbed %26amp; ridded of most dangerous wildlife- permenantly?
As a biologist, I would advise against draining any spring. Wildlife in springs are often endangered or at the very least rare. The only dangerous wildlife in springs might be the occasional poisonous snake, but they will survive draining the spring anyways.
