Gap year traveling and helping wildlife programes?

My friend is taking a year out and wants to travel the world but also take part in different wildlife conservation programmes both paid and voluntary. Is it possible take part in more than one programme i.e:Helping endangered orangutans. The programmes she's found each cost around 拢500 up not including flights those anybody know any cheaper wildlife conservation programmes that might also include flight or accommodation? many thanksGap year traveling and helping wildlife programes?
It depend exactly as to where you are thinking of travaling and at what time of year to what programs are avaliable, but it is possible to do more than 1 program but not at the same time as most programs (both voluntaryand paid) are full time. However if you are taking a year out then you could do many programs as you travel around. One thing to consider is the cost though. I would say that 拢500 is quite cheap but it depends on how long that is for. There are some voluntary programs in africa and places that are two weeks long and include accomodation and food, but does not include flights. These cost around 拢795 up for voluntary work.

There are many conservation programs and a good site to visit is

This site has both volunteer programs and paid work for around 拢330 plus in a variety of countries worldwide. Most of these programs include accomodation and food, but not flights.Gap year traveling and helping wildlife programes?
Some of the best places to go are the ones that aren't 'on the tourist map'. If you can find some and contact directly and SAFELY go there directly you will save huge amounts of money and your money will go directly to the place rather than a agency or company.

If it means paying more for safety though then pay it.. its not worth your safety.

Avoid turtles, dolphins, monkeys and coral conservation - go for the more obscure and itll be cheaper. Something in britain or abroad; ie. mangroves or coastlines or an ugly animal that doesnt have the 'cute' appeal.. itll save you a fortune and is almost more worthwhile because it doesnt have the press and so people dont go there so much.
I have a book for you:

Taking a Gap Year by Susan Griffith. This book has helpful ideas, including gap year projects, and... a section on fundraising.

I hope that my idea helps you.
it is possible but hard you got to aligne the dates just right to be in just two of them
