Hi there

If you are prepared to go outside of Sydney, I think Featherdale wildlife park is fab. It's on the way to the Blue Mountains and is a great first stop off if you are planning to go there. It'a about 30 minutes out of Sydney. A few of the tour operators incorporate the wildlife park for the Blue Mountains.

What I like about it is that you can see all the Australian animals under one roof. It's $22 to get in, you can stroke the Koalas and feed the Kangaroos.

There is a new wildlife centre opened in the centre of Sydney near the Aquarium but I have heard mixed reports. Taronga zoo offers spectacular views over the city and has elephants and giraffes etc as well as some Australian animals. You can also take a ferry over which is lovely. You'll pay more to get in here though - $41.

Have a great trip

Taronga Zoo is good but will cost you more then that. The Sydney Wildlife Park is a little cheaper.

The cheaper parks though are out of the city so you would need to add travelling expenses. I like Symbio which is just south of Sydney.

I'd pay a little extra and go to Taronga if I were you, bring your own lunch and drinks and it won't be too bad.
