Check with your state dept of conservation. You'll find that most wildlife conservation funds come from the sale of fishing and hunting licenses. This site has some interesting information. The articles are often summaries of published journal articles and are informative without being too technical. Even if it doesn't provide all the articles you need, it will at least give you some terms you can use to search further.
