I know this may sound strange but i rescued a little duckling and took care of her and it was heartbreaking to see her go to another sanctuary. I have lots of experience with animals and so on. but i was thinking when i am old enough i want to open my own wildlife rescue type of thing. But how would i get an income, because if you are paying to treat and look after animals, how do other charities stay going, and where would i get the money to feed and water me? thanks xxI want to start a wildlife charity but.....?
You need an income of your own, if you became established and a trusted sanctuary you 'might' get accepted by an animal welfare trust, but they would not want to pay your wages, the money ifs for care only.
So, how about a fdifferent route into your dream job, where you can work with and care for animals but make a living at the same time.
Study hard and become a vet. I know right now it looks impossible, so many years of study to do, but if you want it you will be able to do it. You can start right now at school, study hard to get as high grades as you can manage, then you can choose that best uni that offers vets degrees.
Have faith, start now and you will manage to get there.I want to start a wildlife charity but.....?
Small charities are staffed by volunteers. You need to earn you own income with other work.
A small amount of money can be raised, through donations, fundraising events and merchandising.
Lottery money is available if you can demonstrate significant value in what you are doing to the wider community. Unlikely in your case, I would have thought.
If you apply to the IRS for 501(c) status, you can solicit tax-deductable donations and grants. It requires a couple of hundred for an application fee and a ream of paperwork.
Hi again dear,I m openning a pet care center here in Australia, since i love these sweeties alot.
I made my hobby my profession.
So when ever u r planning to open, just let me know, i may try to help u.
bad idea... u can do the same thing for the environment with it being your hobby, u can get a job, and USE that money to do your hobbies, U could also do it when your retired. but starting off with no money would be a bad idea
